When we replace your battery, we take care of the old one too. Our technicians collect your used battery and arrange for it to be responsibly recycled through our specialist recycling partner.

It’s part of our battery replacement service, so you don’t need to organise disposal or visit a recycling centre.

Giving old batteries a new purpose

Up to 98% of a lead-acid car battery can be recovered through recycling. Its materials can be separated, processed and used to make new batteries and other everyday products.

• Lead can be recovered and used to manufacture new batteries.
• Plastic casings can be recycled into items such as plant pots and bins.
• Battery acid can be treated and converted into materials used in detergents and other products.

Why responsible recycling matters
